Ever wake up out of the blue for no good reason and just lay there?  That's me this morning.  After almost an hour I finally decided to bite the bullet and go downstairs.  I usually try to avoid that because being the first one down means letting the dogs out.  I'm not a miserable morning person, I like mornings.  I'm a happy morning person.  Decaf coffee is my friend.  I just don't particularly enjoy Millie licking my feet as I walk and dogs that are insanely excited from the first creek of the stairs they hear to my opening the door to that cold air.  When I hit that brisk morning air I'm definitely up and raring to go.
This morning I woke up and started thinking about the lambs we're looking forward to.   Then one thought lead to another and POOF! I was walking downstairs, Millie was licking my feet, and I was letting the dogs out.  Now I'm thinking about breakfast.  Since no one is up yet, I'm going to surprise them with breakfast tacos.  Eldest won't touch them with a 10 foot pole, but I know the others will.  I'm going to cook up some sausage, scramble some eggs, and lay that out on the table along with some flour tortillas, salsa, and cheese.  Nothing fancy, but a good breakfast to get everyone's juice flowing.  Do I make breakfast every morning?  No.  I'm good, but I'm not that good.  Hon or I will make a big breakfast on the weekends and sometimes they come down to me cooking something up during the week.  We're also a fan of breakfast for dinner at least once a week.  If I had to choose my favorite meal of the day breakfast would be it.
So, the dogs have been let out, any extra dishes lurking about from after dinner are in their place, and now I'm going to start in on that breakfast.  After the Kid and Young'un are on the bus (Eldest home schools) it'll be chore time.  Then the sky's the limit.  I may card and spin some wool.  Thinking about working the horses some in the round pen.  Then again, I started taking that wallpaper off in the kitchen, which has become a project nightmares are made of.  Maybe I'll dive into that task and pull some more off.  It's a beautiful morning and life is grand.  Enjoy your day!  Smiling & Waving, Sharon
