Farmers Market Spotlight: Paint Creek Kitchens

This is Monesa Skocik and her husband, Dr. Monesa Skocik.  Ok I'm kidding, his name is Chris...but he really is a doctor.  I'm going to take a leap and figure Monesa is the baker behind all of the goodies they have to taunt me with each Saturday morning, but you can ask them yourself next time your at the Market.  Monesa and Chris are the brains and brawn behind Paint Creek Kitchens.  By the way, I did take a picture of them waving, but I'm not a professional photographer and if I post that one I'd never get to the front of the line for their uber delights...and yes, they are that good to have a line form sometimes.  Don't forget to be friendly and wave anyways since you've waved to everyone else I've put in the spotlight so far.
Monesa and Chris have been a part of the Chillicothe Farmers Market for years.  Before we bought the farm, so to speak, I even made sure to pick up incredible breads from Paint Creek Kitchens.  When fall and football season roll around I have to put up with their Ohio State University football excitement, but being the University of Michigan fan that I am, I forgive them.
Now, back to their amazing stuff...they provide the Market with mouth watering artisan breads and fresh pasta that will make your taste buds sing.  You may even find yourself taking home some of their dark sea salt caramels and almond croissant pastries.  I even saw chemical free veggies there this morning.  Y-U-M!  I may be one woman and an oven, but Monesa is a woman with an oven and a boat load of talent...not to mention the most awsome coffee (ahem, espresso) maker this planet has ever laid eyes on!
Next time your at the Chillicothe Farmers Market make sure to stop by and check out Paint Creek Kitchens.  Trust me, you'll be glad you did!
Now before I go, make sure to meet me here again tomorrow.  I have another story to tell about today's market.  I met a fantastic person today and we made the most wonderful trade!  I'd tell you more now, but Eldest just came in and told me Moe and Alice actually have a gosling that just hatched out and I've waited three years for this!  Smiling & Waving, Sharon

Welcome!

The Silver Maple Farm is a small family farm in south central Ohio. We have a cutoff time of 10:00 p.m. on Sunday nights for ordering available baked goods and a pickup time on Thursdays of the same week between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m., unless other arrangements are made. If there is a change in the schedule due to holidays or events, we will post the changes here on our website, and also on the social media websites Facebook and Instagram. We’ll also post when we have vegetables, fruits, teas, and herbs for sale from our farm.
