Badge / Dandy Ewe Lambs - Born April 14, 2013
Fella / Trixie Ewe Lamb - Born April 20, 2013 -
SOLD. 12 lbs 6 oz on the day of her birth. Both her sire and dam came to us as lambs from Lavender Fleece Farm in Michigan. She may be Trixie's first lamb, and a large one at that, but Trixie had no problems birthing her. She is absolutely beautiful and one of the finest lambs we've had the privilege of having here. She is growing well and is an all around beauty.
Fella / Lucy Ewe Lamb - Born April 21, 2013 -
SOLD 8 lbs 13 oz on the day she was born. She is the first white lamb born here at The Silver Maple. We've imagined it, but wondered if it would actually happen, and well, it did. She has some light creamy beige spots on her face and legs, which you can see in her pictures.

Crystal - From Moonstruck Farm, Creston, Ohio - Born April 14, 2013 - Not For Sale
UNAVAILABLE. This is Crystal. She came to us from by way of Moonstruck Farm this year. She's a keeper here at The Silver Maple. We were fortunate to bring her home on April 15 and begin our first time experience at bottle feeding. Then not a week later Dahlia had twin lambs. The problem was, they were born too early. As much as we would have liked them to survive, they were unable to, and the good Lord took them home. Then there was Dahlia rightfully upset at her loss and Crystal without a mom's guidance. It seemed like a good match. After much persuasion Dahlia took on Crystal as her baby. Ever since then they've been a wonderful family. Dahlia takes great care of Crystal, teaching her all the things sheep do, and Crystal teaching Dahlia what a handful one little ewe lamb can be. Do you know how loud a lamb can yell when she wants you for something? Dahlia has had to rule by an iron hoof, telling the rams to keep an eye on her when she needs a break, and also leaving her with us when we're out in their pasture. Kid is looking forward to taking Crystal to the Ross County Fair this year. She's a great addition to our farm and we are thankful to have her here with us! Thank you, Dahlia for being such a great mom to Crystal. She wouldn't be the wonderful ewe she is without your guidance.
